Case Study: New Onsite Diagnostic Services

 

Introduction:

Healthcare Solutions was engaged to manage the implementation of new diagnostic services into an established clinical practice. The objective was to provide patients with diagnostics and medical care in one location, which also helped the practice grow.

 

Challenge:

The challenge was multifaceted and involved navigating the needs of the practice as well as regulatory details, and managing workforce logistics including work permits, synchronising protocols, insurance coverage, inventory and many more moving parts.

 

Approach:

Our approach required developing a detailed business plan and project plan. We secured the licences needed from the Bermuda Health Council, implemented robust protocols to ensure seamless service delivery, managed Human Resources matters and consulted on marketing the new service. 

 

Outcomes:

The results were transformative. Patients gained immediate access to comprehensive diagnostic services without the need for external referrals or prolonged waiting times. 

The practice’s service spectrum expanded, translating into increased patient satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, the introduction of these new services created employment opportunities within the healthcare workforce, contributing to the overall growth of the local community.

 

Conclusion:

Healthcare Solutions supported the expansion of an existing clinical practice to include onsite ultrasound diagnostic services. The goal was to improve patient access to services, while also increasing revenue for the practice. 

With the introduction of ultrasound diagnostics we also generated new employment opportunities and a more well-rounded healthcare ecosystem.
